1983 MISS UNIVERSE - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS SINGAPORE...

Bob: "How do you like the fashion of American women?"

Miss Singapore: "I like it...it's very casual...jeans & t-shirts..."

Bob: "What have you enjoyed most in the United States?"

Miss Singapore: "Eating strawberries!"


1984 MISS UNIVERSE - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS PHILIPPINES...

Bob: "There are thousands of women out there watching who would like to become a model, what can you tell them about the job?"

Miss Philippines: "Aahh, modelling is not an easy job, it is also not a stable job...."

Bob: "You have to be unstable to be a model......(people laughed)...sometimes you have a lot of work, sometimes you don't...

Miss Philippines: "Yes..."

Bob: "Do you make your own clothes...?"

Miss Philippines: "I have lots of friends who are designers, so if they want to get me....they would get me..."

Bob: "And do they get you often? (laughter from the crowd)...

Miss Philippines: "Aahh, yes!"

Bob: "So you don't need an agent?"

Miss Philippines: "Aahh, no!"


1991 MISS TEEN USA - DICK CLARK INTERVIEWING MISS GEORGIA...

Dick: "Do you spend a lot of time in a farm?"

Miss Georgia: "Yes...but it's not the greatest experience of my life..."

Dick: "Tell us about it...."

Miss Georgia: "Well, I thought that when I go to the farm, all the animals will gather around me like Snow White (with a southern accent)..."

Dick: "Yeah?"

Miss Georgia: "They didn't!"

Dick: "What happened?"

Miss Georgia: "Well, the chickens try to pick me and the horses try to bite me and I'd step on something...(Dick interrupted)..."

Dick: "Yep, yep...that would happen a lot in a farm. Did you leave immediately?"

Miss Gerogia: "Yes, sir...I went to the Mall instead!"


1985 MISS UNIVERSE - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS ZAIRE...

Bob: "Many people out there know very little about Zaire, can you tell us something about Zaire?"

Miss Zaire: (through the aid of an interpreter) "It is located Central Africa...."

Bob: "We did know that......but are there mountains or deserts?"

Miss Zaire: "No, there aren't that much mountains and there aren't that much desert." (people laughed)

Bob: "I wonder what they have in Zaire?"


1991 MISS UNIVERSE - DICK CLARK INTERVIEWING MISS VENEZUELA...

Dick: "What has some the English words you've learned recently?"

Miss Venezuela: "Be careful with my zipper"

Dick: "Seatbelt?"

Miss Venezuela: "Zipper.."

Dick: "I thought it would be...May I please have a wake up call...."


1991 MISS USA - DICK CLARK INTERVIEWING MISS ALABAMA...

Dick: "If they give you a lot of money, would you work for a tabloid?"

Miss Alabama: "Of course, wouldn't you?" (audience laughed)

Dick: "But I'm asking you...." (caught of guard)

Miss Alabama: "Yes, I would"


1982 MISS USA - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS MASSACHUSETTS...

Bob: "Miss Massachusetts has been working on her Southern accent.....say, Bob Barker, park your car here..as you would normally would.."

Miss Massachusetts: (with a New England accent)"Bob Barker, park your car here!"

Bob: "Nooow....how would you say it?"

Miss Massachusetts: (still in her New England accent)"Bob Barker, park your car here, y'all!"


1997 MISS USA - GEORGE HAMILTON INTERVIEWING MISS HAWAII...

George: "So, you're a professional Hula dancer...tell us exactly what you do?"

Miss Hawaii: "I dance the Hula and I get paid for it!"

George: "Why do I suddenly feel so stupid?"


1985 MISS UNIVERSE - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS URUGUAY...

Bob: "I read in her bio (talking to the interpreter) that she teach aerobics to young and old people, asked her how old these old people that she teaches aerobics to?"

Miss Uruguay: "Thirty to fifty..." (audience laughed...Bob Barker looked shocked)

Bob: "I don't know if I can still go on now...."


1985 MISS UNIVERSE - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS PUERTO RICO...

Bob: "To be a contestant in the Miss Universe, our delegates must win various pageants in their own country. Yours was particularly exciting. Why don't you tell our television viewers about your pageant.."

Miss Puerto Rico: "My first pageant was to win the Miss San Juan title...It was quite exciting, we had big fire on stage in our opening number, it was scary, let me tell you, we had to be removed from the stage by the firemen, there were water, augh, huge mess...then we had to wait for 4 hours for it to go on again and finally at 5:30am, I was crowned as Miss San Juan....then I got chicken pox...and then...I competed for the Miss Puerto Rico Pageant, it rained all night and it was outdoors."

Bob: "Ladies and Gentlemen, she had to go through fire, flood, everything but pestilence to be with us tonight."


1986 MISS UNIVERSE - BOB BARKER INTERVIEWING MISS BRAZIL...

Bob: (Talking to the interpreter)"When she wins Miss Universe, she will have the chance to live in Hollywood. Ask her if she would like that?

Miss Brazil: (Through an interpreter) "Yes, it's been a dream of mine to see Hollywood and to live there and most importantly, be Miss Universe."

Bob: "Los Angeles doesn't have rapid transit system. Ask her if she knows how to drive an automobile?"

Miss Brazil: (Through an interpreter) "Yes"

Bob: "Does she have a license?"

Miss Brazil: "No, I haven't gotten it yet."

Bob: "She'll fit in perfectly on the Los Angeles freeways."


1995 MISS USA - BOB GOEN INTERVIEWING MISS MARYLAND...

Bob: "I read in your bio that your favorite tv personality is John Tesh (Laughter from the audience...as Bob looked at Jennifer funny)..."

Miss Maryland: "Sorry, Bob! I guess I should have thought about it before I wrote it down...

Bob: "Well, you obviously watch Entertainment Tonight, John is from Entertainment Tonight and I'm from Entertainment Tonight...What am I....chopped liver?"

Miss Maryland: "You're great...you're here with us...

Bob: "Well, if John was here, here is what he'll ask you...(audience laughed)
