Honor your spell check and keep it holy for it will save many, many headaches.(taken from The Buffy Guild main site, but it's *So* true)
If you use a Beta reader, respect their time and voice. It's a job to beta a fic, they are doing this out of love and the want to help.
Love the list/archivist. They do a lot to get the stories up!
Be creative, nothing is stupid, dumb or too farfetched. That's what imagination is all about!
Never writen before? Go for it! Write a story, if you think it sucks, put it somewhere that you can see often and go back and add stuff or erase. TINKER, you have all the time in the world. Have a blast.
Like feedback? Give some and the favor could be returned. BUT do not flame. There is no need to be mean. Don't like a story or it's idea? Then keep quiet or say something about the way they used good grammar instead.
Respect the writing of authors in other 'ships and never offer criticism merely on the basis of the 'ship the author has chosen to write. (Again, taken from The Buffy Guild main site, but darn it! It's dead on! I had feedback once that said- "great story but when I got to the end, YUCK you moron. You ruined the story completely using B/G!" lolol, no need for that was there?)
Now, it's great that you have such a creative mind but, uh remember WHO you are writing about. It's fine to change an episode or event but to change the characters themselves?!
Most of all, remember, this is for fun and release of tension. Be it sexual, emotional or anger. Go with it and do it for the love of the couple!
