CyberSix Inspired Writings

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery…
I have written more stories and poems about CyberSix than any other single source. There are two reasons for this: there is so much in the series, it has an almost infinit amount of layers to write about; and I've got an audience to show my writing to and to get me to actually write it. So far, I've had more poems than I've ever written in a year before, a novel AND its sequel planned out, a short story outside of the fan universe of my novels, and a little short story crossover that exists parrallel to the first novel. Unfortunately, the actually physical writing of everything but the poems has been slow, but I promise I will eventually get it all out.

There's a lot of fan fiction out on the Internet based on CyberSix already, other than my own. Here's a list of everything I'm aware of. Mail me above if you find something different, or you have something new. ***WARNING*** This list is HOPELESSLY outdated, I'll try to get it updated when I have several hours to kill on the Internet.....*sigh* This might not happen anytime soon...

I've got Bethany's Profile up! It's everything you ever wanted to know about my character, without giving away so much as to spoil my story. Well, there's one spoiler, but by now everyone should know it already, and if not it only spoils up until Chapter 2....

Please, mail me with your comments, both positive and negative. My writting can only improve with critical analysis.

Angels of Sorrow, Angels of Hope

My Fan Fics are way too long, so I've got them broken down into pages for each chapter. Click above or here to go to the Table of Contents for this series.

Right now I have the prologue to the series finished. Its a lot slower than the rest of the series will be, almost all dialogue, but there isn't really a way to do it otherwise. The first so-called chapter will take place between episode 2 and episode 4 in the show, and already counts in at 11 pages about half way, so when it's finally finished, you'll have a lot to read.

Poetry

CyberSix lends itself so well to poetry, don't you think? I find my CyberSix poems among my most beautiful. I actually now take "Trapped in the Night" to be my best poem every, even above "Thorns of the Heart" and "The Piper". I've gotten a couple finished, here's what's here:

Two Hearts Apart

A romantic piece between Lucas and CyberSix, kinda. It's hard to describe, just read it and you'll see. I really like the way it turned out, it could even almost work as an independent poem without the show. (Ok, maybe not...)

Trapped in the Night

This is a sestina, a style I associate with vampires and darkness because the first one I ever read was a gorgeous one by Neil Gamen on vampires and love. I've wanted to do one of these ever since I read it, and I really like the effect, but I'm not doing another one unless I'm really inspired; it took me an hour of counting, cutting, and pasting to get this one right after I'd written the main stanzas! Anyways, it's written to be read as from a vampire's point of view; however, fans should recognize I really intended a different protagonist. ;) I reallly like the comparison against CyberSix and a moral vampire, and this is my tribute to that relationship...

Forsaken Angel

This actually came to me while thinking of my sequal fic (Yes, I'm weird, working on a sequal in my head when the first doesn't even have the first chapter finished...), but it applies better to CyberSix herself in the first season. It was small, and I was bored, so I kinda made a .gif out of it. I like all the different sides to CyberSix; I explored her relation to vampires in "Trapped in the Night", and then I can find her akin to angels here...

Their Two Faces

I love the contrast between Adrain and CyberSix, one light and introverted, the other dark and extroverted. At yet, they are very much the same, just different sides of the same coin. I find myself both understanding Lucas for not recongnizing they are the same person, and wanting to hit him in the head for missing how obviously alike they are. But both are lost and alone, and both are hiding...

At the Foot of the Angel

Everyone, of course, knows of Meridiana’s Angel. If you look carefully in some episodes, like The Eye, you’ll also see that it sits (Or kneels, or whatever…) on a pedestal, and there’s writing on it. Well, a large square with lines that represent writing, but you know what I mean. Now, I assume that this writing includes things like when the statue was build, the inauguration date, who designed it, and other such factual stuff that I don’t make up good. But, I also like to think the would have included a poem or something to commemorate the statue, and that kind of thing I DO make up good. And so, here’s what I came up with last night after watching some angel music videos on Much More Music and getting hit by a two-by-four of inspiration. It’s rhymed, even, which lets you know how hard that thing hit...
