Vampire

She is standing by the window, waiting.
Watching the stars dance, watching the wind bend the trees, watching the earth move towards its death.
A white cloth draped around her body, clinging to the curves and brushing the hollows,
as her hand clutches it closed at her breast.
A breeze pulls and tugs at the raven strands of her hair, and she thoughtlessly brushes them from her face.
Her teeth worry the redness of her lips.

A vision of beauty, a vision of lust, a vision of loneliness.
A vision I have created.

So lovely, so pure.
Even now, I can feel her innocence.
It was that innocence, that elegance that first drew me to her.
After centuries of jadedness, such purity of heart is a refreshing novelty.
Although she had been even more enchanting than I had expected.
So much so, that I am tempted to make her something - more.

Her deep, emerald green eyes search the wood for me nervously.
She stares me in the face, so I can gaze right into the soul of her eyes, and still she does not see me.
Worry lines her delicate face, and it pains me to she her like that.
She seems to have effected me as much as I have effected her.
I smile.
I have waited a long time for one such as her.

I move from the protective cover of the trees, allowing her to see me.
Her face brightens when she does, beckoning me closer.
Like a sailor helpless before the song of the siren, I obey.
I embrace her, drawing her to me, and her sheet slips to the floor beneath us.
Yes, we were made for each other, for all that we were born so far apart.
My lips move over her mouth, her skin, her beautiful neck.
She gasps in pain and ecstasy.
Her sweetness fills my mouth.

We are one.

The world turns and ages. And still we are together, perfect, forever.
