The sun is beginning to set. The Sherwoods, the Grimes, and Rosamond Tucker are waiting in front of the hospital. Paul is wheeling Kane out of the lobby to his car. As he is helping his dad into the passenger seat, Russell and Mario come out, and between them is a handcuffed Joanna. She is pale and wearing a robe and pajamas, her hair mussed. As everyone watches silently, the two cops lead Joanna to a police car. They gently push her into the backseat. Also in the backseat is Quentin Michaels. The two look at each other, then turn away, with vacant stare on their faces. The tense ride home begins....
