It's now morning, and everyone is either working, at school, or just starting their day in Breckenridge. But Zoe and Amaya Talbot are at the Sherwood Diner again, talking about their decision to meet their half-brother Paul Harper.
Amaya: We have to find out where he is right now. He should be working. Then we can go to his job.
Zoe: What if we aren't able to see him there?
Amaya: Then we look him up in the phone book.
Zoe: Dad's gonna be pretty angry May. You saw how he was last night. He doesn't want us to have any contact with Paul.
Amaya: We're adults now Zoe. Dad can't forbid us to contact Paul. Look what happens when he tries to stop Mom from doing what she wants. He can't control her anymore. He sure as hell can't control us.
Zoe: You're right. You're absolutely right. If we want to talk to Paul, there's nothing Dad can do tp stop us. Sometimes I don't understand why he gets so whacked out.
(Everett Burnham, who has been at the counter, is on his way out when he spots the two girls' glum faces).
Everett: Girls, what's wrong? It's a gorgeous day out. Why are you in here looking so sad?
Zoe: It's personal.
Everett: Oh, sorry. Well, I hope the rest of your day is better. (As he gets to the door, he accidentally drops his attache case and his work papers and computer disks fall out. Amaya and Zoe get up to help him. As the three put the things back in the case, Amaya spots a form with Grimes Incoporated letterhead on it. She realizes her mom knows people with this last name).
Amaya: Uh sir?
Everett: Yes?
Amaya: You work for the Grimes family?
Everett: Yes.
Amaya: By chance, does a guy named Paul Harper work there?
Everett: Yeah he does. Do you know him?
Amaya: Well----yes and no. Do you think you could give us a ride to Grimes Incoporated?
Everett: May I ask why?
Zoe: It's important. I guess we can explain it to you. We need your help. See, we're his half-sisters. And we want to see him. Will you please take us to him?
Everett's wife Cordelia, her daughter Jadyn, and Tess Sherwood are at her home, going over final wedding preparations and unfolding paper wedding bells.
Tess: I called the florist yesterday. They should be here early Friday morning to deliver the flowers. They asked me if I was certain I was getting married here. (Laughs)
Jadyn: Ms. Sherwood, can we be in the wedding?
Cordelia: Jadyn sweetie, Tess already has people to be in the wedding.
Tess: Well actually Cordelia, I don't have a flower girl. And I need someone to walk down the aisle with our ring bearer Scott. (To Jadyn) Jadyn, would you like to be my flower girl?
Jadyn: Really? You mean it?
Tess: Of course honey. (To Cordelia) Do you have a dress she can wear?
Cordelia: I have a very fancy pale blue dress I bought for special occasions.
Tess: That will be just fine.
Jadyn: I get to be in the wedding! Yay!
Cordelia: Thanks Tess. This means a lot to her.
Tess: No problem. I wish that when I have a little girl, she'll be just as pretty as Jadyn.
Everett, Zoe, and Amaya are in the huge lobby of Grimes Incorporated.
Everett: This just keeps getting more interesting. First Paul's dad comes to town, now you guys and your mom. Paul is going to be ecstatic. He's been talking about finding his mom for weeks. Look, I have to get to work. Good luck Zoe and Amaya. (Begins to head for the elevator)
Zoe: Thanks, Mr. Burnham.
Everett: Please, call me Everett. Hey----will you three be at the wedding?
Amaya: Wedding?
Everett: Paul's getting married Friday at my house. I'm sure he'd love for you to come. You are family now. Goodbye girls. (He steps on the elevator)
Zoe: He must be marrying that lady we saw hugging him that night at the diner. And remember the other man who was with him? That's gotta be Paul's dad----Mom's old boyfriend!
Amaya: You're right! Let's go to that big desk over there and see if the woman will tell us where Paul is.
Valerie Talbot is taking a nap on the couch in her hotel suite. She spent much of the night talking with Kane Garrett, and is catching up on her sleep. She is dreaming she is marrying Kane at the park, and Paul and her daughters are there. It's a beautiful, sunny day. Valerie is wearing a white suit and white roses are in her hair. She is carrying a single white rose. Kane is wearing a white suit with a pink tie, and he has a pink rose on his lapel. Paul is dressed alike, and Zoe and Amaya are wearing pink dresses carrying single pink roses. The judge is asking Valerie if she takes Kane to be her husband.
Valerie (out loud): I do....I do....I do. (Just then, Drennen walks out of the bedroom, and hears Valerie talking in her sleep, calling out Kane's name.....
