Episode 46 Conclusion

Meanwhile, Kane and Valerie are at what used to be Joanna Harper's mansion. The two are in what is now Valerie's bedroom, unpacking her things.

Valerie: It still feels so weird, moving into the house of the woman who took your child.

Kane: It's a nice kind of revenge don't you think?

Valerie: Very nice. But it's not just for me. This is for my daughters. It's time they have a life free of conflict and despair right now.

Kane: They're good girls. You're a wonderful mother Val.

Valerie: I don't feel like I'm a good mother. Not with the way things are with their father. I feel like I've failed somehow.

Kane: It's not your fault. Drennen and his warped jealousy brought this on. (He gently grabs her chin) It's time you realized that.

Valerie: You don't know how much I love you Kane. You have been a pillar of strength for me, and if you weren't here, I don't know what I'd do.

Kane: Don't say that Val. You were always strong.

(They look at each other for a few seconds. Kane caresses Valerie's cheek, and she begins to tremble. She closes her eyes. Kane leans toward her, and they kiss, wrapping their arms around each other)....
