The Breckenridge night prowler struck again, this time invading the Grimes home. But Marcus stopped the burglar from taking anything. The burglar hurled a sofa pillow at him, knocking him to the ground, and escaped. The police arrived, took statements, and searched for the thief, but again came up empty-handed. Marcus and Ingrid hardly slept that night.

Now it's morning, but the couple is still on edge. They informed their family members about the crime, but told them to go about business as usual. Ingrid and Marcus are in the kitchen having breakfast.

Ingrid: I hope they catch him soon. I don't think I'll be able to sleep soundly until they do.

Marcus: The thief is bound to make a mistake soon and when he does the police will get him.

Ingrid: Wade certainly didn't like you going after him with your gun. He says this family has a death wish, with Valerie chasing him down too.

Marcus: That's us, the fearless Grimes clan.

(Lance and Rosamond have returned from their trip, and they enter the kitchen).

Ingrid: Lance! Rosie! Oh, it's so good to have you home! (Runs to embrace them).

Lance: Hi Mom! How are you?

Ingrid: Things could be better. We were almost robbed last night.

Rosamond: What?

Marcus: Come on guys, sit down, and I'll tell you all about our adventurous evening.

At WBRE Eliza Braxton, Suzanne Haines, and some of her co-workers are in station manager Sam Granger's office celebrating her maternity leave.

Suzanne: We're going to miss you Eliza.

Eliza: You'll see me everyday at home Suzie.

Sam: You're one of the best Eliza. That's why it's so hard replacing you.

Eliza: I'll be back in several months and besides, I'm looking forward to see how this new reporter will do. I've heard she's one of L.A.'s finest.

Sam: Janet MacDonald is well loved and respected in that city. I hope she's well-received here in Maryland too. One thing's for sure, she jumped at the chance to come here, which suprised me because we're not the biggest market.

Eliza: I can't wait to meet her. Perhaps I'll invite her to the christening. Which reminds me---Suzanne, Sam, will you be the godparents to my daughter?

Suzanne: Oh Eliza, that's such an honor! Of course I'll be the godmother.

Sam: Thank you so much. Lance doesn't mind that he can't help you choose?

Eliza: No not at all. He thought you guys would be great since you've known me forever. Lance should be back home any day now. He's going to help me plan the baby's christening and reception.

Back to the Grimes mansion.

Lance: I'm not suprised a burglar's on the loose in Breckenridge, with all these wealthy neighborhoods. It's like Temptation Island.

Rosamond: It's still scary though. Do the police have any leads?

Marcus: None whatsoever. The guy has left no clues.

Lance: Well at least nobody was hurt. Where's my little brother? I have a present for him.

Ingrid: He went to the diner to see Larry. The boys are concerned about their friend Brody. He's been acting up again.

Rosamond: Cordy told me about their blow up at the university.

Ingrid: I think Brody's bad temper is because of serious problems at home. That's what Roark is trying to find out.

Roark is downtown heading from the diner to go home when he spots Victor Pearce heading for Elaine's. He parks his car, gets out, and jogs over to Brody's dad.

Roark: Mr. Pearce! Can I talk to you please?

Victor: Hi Roark. What do you want to talk to me about?

Roark: Brody.

Victor: If this is about the arguement between my son and your friend forget about it. Brody's going to apologize to her.

Roark: There's more. Brody was about to tell me something at the diner the other day but he stopped. I think you know something about it, and I need to know.

Victor: Brody's personal problems are none of your business. What's the matter Roark? Spent all your daddy's money? Now you're bored so you're using my son as a hobby?

Roark: What the hell are you talking about? Brody is my friend and I care about him, and from what little he told me, you're the reason he isn't acting himself. My family has nothing to do with this. What's been getting into you two all of a sudden?

Victor: I don't have to stand here and listen to some pop psychology crap from a rich boy. Leave me alone. (He begins to open the door to the restaurant, but Roark grabs his arm).

Roark: Oh yes you will listen Victor. Brody's my best friend and I know you're the reason behind his misery. Now tell me what's going on in that house right now!
