Brody arrived home and turned down Roark's offer to stay with him, fearing someone would find out he broke into the Grimes mansion.

Janet's coworker Chris arrived to see her and passionately kissed her.

Rosamond shocked Lance by agreeing to marry him.

Ingrid was floored after receiving a call from her mother---who unwittingly revealed she had another baby she gave up for adoption.

And now, tonight's episode...

The Grimes mansion, 7:00 p.m.

Ingrid has once again retreated to her bedroom, her mother's incredible words still echoing in her mind.

After Kane well---you know, and you left home, I got pregnant again...

It was a boy. A beautiful baby boy...

Ingrid covered her ears to drown out the sound of her mother's voice, and she laid back on her king-sized bed. Tears began to run down her cheeks, stinging her face. After fighting so hard to escape the memories of her hellish childhood, her mother returned with another blow, knocking her down. How much more could she take? And could she keep this bombshell a secret from her husband and her family? And what about Kane? How would he react after finding out he had a younger brother?

Her husband Marcus entered the room and rushed to his wife. "Ingy!" he cried, his voice flooded with concern. Ingrid shot up and Marcus sat on the bed, taking her into his arms. "My God, are you okay?" he asked, worried. "You hardly said a word all afternoon, and picked at your dinner." He looked at her, boring his eyes into hers. "There's something else you're not telling me Ingy."

Ingrid stared at him, unable to look away. If she had told him about her mother's phone call then she would have to tell him about everything else. Or maybe not. Maybe she could leave out the years leading up to her and Kane's brother's birth. After all, abuse was one thing, but another long-lost family member was an entirely different.

"Ingy?" Marcus asked again. Ingrid smiled, for the first time this evening. "I have something to tell you. And I don't want you to interrupt me. What I have to say is going to change the rest of our lives forever."

The Toy Chest Shop, Main Street, same time

"So, Mr. Garrett, what have you picked out this time?" Joe Christy, owner and manager of the small but popular toy store asked Kane. He had become a regular customer in the past few weeks.

Kane grinned and placed two Barbie doll boxes on the counter in front of Joe. One doll was dressed like a policewoman, and the other was wearing a royal blue ballgown. "The police Barbie is for Zoe and the other one is for Amaya," Kane replied, referring to Valerie Talbot's daughters.

"They sure do like Barbies don't they," Joe commented, ringing up the prices on his register.

Kane pulled out a Mastercard. "I think almost every girl does," he said, somewhat distracted. He turned around and looked out the window across the street, a funny feeling rising in his stomach.

"You okay Mr. Garrett?" Joe inquired. "You see someone out there?"

Kane turned back around. "I'm not sure, but I think somebody is watching me."
