Authors Notes: Here I am again and all ready for season 2 of this fic for
the few of you that'll probably come banging on my door to demand I
finish this already.
As usual, Feedback would be greatly appreciated! And so would
suggestions for the final chapter of my fic Forever. I kinda got writers
block on that one.

Ketchum: The Journey Continues
Season 2

Warrior Of Dragon
Chapter 28

"BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE . . . ." CRASH!  Went the
window as the clock sailed through it. "EEEeeeeeeeeeeeee . . . ." Thud.
Went the alarm clock as it hit the ground below my window.
I gave a tired blink as I tried to get out of bed but was trapped by 12
pounds of baby sister, 50 pounds of Raptor head and 9 pounds of Bastet.
"Satoshi! Have you seen Nodo . . ." Mom trailed off as soon as she saw
my situation and the location of my baby sister.
"Sorry sweety, sometimes she gets out of her crib and comes into my
room. I still don't know how she does it. . ." Mom muttered as she
picked up Doka-chan to get her dressed. "Breakfast is on the table!"
That started a small stampede. I sneezed as I bolted down the stairs,
someone must be talking about me.
"Inferno, could you do me a favour and feed the others? I don't have
enough time this morning."
(Sure.)
Even Inferno was amazed at the speed Musashi and I inhaled our food,
ran upstairs and got dressed, brushed our teeth and grabbed our bags. As
I darted past mom I grabbed Doka-chan from her arm and gave her a kiss
goodbye.
As we ran down the street I saw a Fearow fly just overhead with
something shiny around it's neck. I shrugged it off and dropped off
Doka-chan at the Daycare centre before Musashi and I ran full tilt, trying
to make it through the gate before it closed.
We barely made it in time.

~~~~~~Raptor's POV~~~~~~
I could tell that just by looking at her she was bored.  Bastet didn't know
what to do since there was no human supervision.
*I want Satoshi!*
<*I want Father too but he's at school and won't be back for another
four hours.*>
*Let's go to him then.*
<*We're not allowed on the property.*>
*I'm going and you can't stop me.*
I shook my head, she'd have to learn the hard way.  Arrogantly she
walked out the back door and started down the street, occasionally
stopping to check for Father and Father's friend's scent.
Truth be told I wanted to see Father too, so I went outside and followed
her by hovering over the rooftops.
It wasn't long before Bastet was padding between the bars of the closed
gates confidently and looking around at all the students sitting in various
places around the yard.  It was lunchtime.
I wasn't quite sure where Father usually ate so I spread my senses to look
for him whiled hiding in the branches of a large tree, my colouring making
it almost impossible to see me.
~~~~~~Satoshi's POV~~~~~~

My luck, Musashi would have a different lunch period. No problem
though, I'd see her after school at my locker.
In my mind I felt a gentle probing and smiled, it was Raptor. I sent
reassurance through the link, he still doesn't like it when I'm not with him
but he understands.
I was so preoccupied with Raptor I didn't notice a group had walked up.
"Hey squirt."
Inwardly I moaned and wanted to run. It was Sean and co unfortunately.
I opened my eyes.
"Umm . . . Bye!" I bolted for the forest behind the school. Behind me I
heard them swear and give chase.
Thunderclouds began rolling in, I was starting to lose speed with no place
to hide, not good.
Wait! There was a place! I veered right and ran toward the hiding spot I
had discovered when I was 8.
There was the old oak! Thank god it was still standing! I wormed my
way into the hole between two big roots and slithered into the tunnel. It
had originally started as a Raticate nest but when they left I made it a spot
to hide from bullies.
Someone grabbed my ankle.
I'm doomed.
Held upside down by the muscleman of Sean's group I gave a weak grin
and began saying my prayers.
The downpour that the clouds above had heralded began. The
transformation was quick and startled them, allowing me to get my ankle
free and run.
"Look!  A wild Charmeleon!"
"What about the squirt?"
"Forget him! That Charmeleon's mine! Gyarados go!" Sean shouted.
How had he gotten the pokeball past the sensors?
Didn't know, didn't care. I wanted out of there!
I ran.
The rain was still pouring, was I doomed to be weakened by water
forever?

<"None taken.">
There was a loud thud behind me that shook the ground. I couldn't spare
the time to see what had caused it.
I ran for another ten minutes before looking back, they were gone.
Stopping I blinked in confusion. Had they really given up?
*You must be weak. I'll take you to my cave and let you dry off.*
I looked up at the voice. And up, and up.

~~~~~~Musashi's POV~~~~~~
"Cool!  What kind of pokemon is that?!"
"That is THE coolest looking pokemon I've ever seen!"
I was curious now.  So I walked over to the large circle of students and
pushed my way through.
When I got to the front of the circle I gaped, what was he doing here?
"Raptor!"  I called.  A lot of students gave me disbelieving looks.  "You
know perfectly well you're not allowed on school grounds!"
He looked at me before continuing to sniff the ground for something.
"Why are you here?  Can you at least tell me that?"
<(Followed Bastet.  Then Father got in trouble.  I can't find his scent or
single out his mind, too many people here.)>
I sighed.  Might as well admit it, my boyfriend is a trouble magnet.
"Come on Raptor, let's try to find him."  I said as he teleported to the
forest
~~~~~~Satoshi's POV~~~~~~

*Wow, so the sleepy little town of Pallet is your territory? I never
would've guessed.*
*You and many others.* He smiled. *Tea?*
*How would you . . .* I shook my head. *Nevermind.*
The tea, despite being made straight from nature is surprisingly good, still
in Charmeleon form I take another sip and let the tea's warmth flow
through my chilled body.
We sat in a comfortable silence while the storm raged outside.
*The way that storm's going I'd think Zapdos is throwing a hissy fit.*
Dragonite chuckled.
*True, True.* His face grew sombre. *But there's a storm coming, one
far worse and deadlier than this.*
I lifted an eyebrow.
*Really?*
*Yes, I assume you've heard the rumours.*
I nodded for him to continue.
*This storm is a vicious one indeed, and we're worried. We pray the
Warrior of Psychic is wrong in his predictions.*
*But Mewtwo doesn't exist.*
*Are you so sure about that?*
I sighed and took another sip of my tea.
*There are some days I'm not sure of anything. I agree there's something
in the air, Charmeleon's felt it, Machop's felt it, and I think Raptor can
feel it to now.*
He nodded and refilled his cup, leaving me to wonder where he got a tea
set and how that small burner works.
The rain started to wane and I wished I knew what time it was.
<*Father!*>
"Satoshi! You're all right! We found your clothes . . ." She trailed of as
she gaped at Dragonite. I grinned and let Raptor pick me up.
*Musashi, this is the Warrior of Dragon, Dragonite. Dragonite, this is my
girlfriend Musashi. Get to know each other while I go change.* I
introduced as I took the spare cup filled with warm water.
While I changed in a small crevice I heard them talking, I heard that
worried tone Musashi gets when she learns Sean was after me and sighed.
She could be such a worrywart, but she does have a good reason too.
There are times when I get in over my head.
"Raptor, what is it with you and that black ball?"
I barked out a laugh as I imagined the look Raptor had on his face as he
played with that black with silver ridged ball.
"Give it up Musashi, he loves that thing!"
(Oh my . . .) Dragonite whispered while he looked at the ball. I got
excited as he studied it and I walked over beside Musashi.
"You know what it is?"
(It's been a very long time since I've seen this ball. I'll tell you what I can
remember.) He motioned for the three of us to sit down.
(Last time I saw this ball was 24 years ago. My memory's a little fuzzy
though. There was a vicious storm by Old Port, lasted for several hours.
At that time I wasn't a Warrior, that didn't come until later. I remember
seeing this wash ashore, when the storm finally ended. At first I thought
it was a new type of pokeball with an abandoned pokemon in it. When I
tried to open it I found I couldn't. That was when I heard voices, I flew
away, quickly forgetting about this. When I became a Warrior the
Warrior of Psychic told me what he thought this ball to be.) Dragonite
paused, trying to recall.
(He told me there was a strange energy coming from it, almost spiritual.
The old Warrior of Rock told me a legend he'd heard in his youth.
Something about three of the Lords and the key to a door. I'm sorry
that's all I remember.)
"Don't worry, that actually more than I expected to learn." I grinned
reassuringly.
<(The storm's gone. We should go home.)> Blinking I looked at Raptor.
Was he maturing already?
<"I think he has matured some, that's something he wouldn't normally
say without adding 'I'm bored' or 'I'm hungry'.">
I nodded. That's true. Besides, mom'll be worried and Musashi and I will
be in big trouble for skipping our afternoon classes.

~~~~~~Musashi's POV~~~~~~
I don't think I've ever heard so many curse words in one breath.
Mrs. Ketchum had been railing on and on ever since we got back.  Raptor
had retrieved Bastet from school and brought her home.  Satoshi and I
had wisely decided to hide out in his room until she calmed down.  And
from the sound of things that wouldn't be for awhile yet.
So Satoshi and I began to just enjoy each other's company together lost
in a world of hand strokes and kisses, blocking all our surroundings until
it was just the two of us.
In the distance I heard gagging noise that was silenced by a smack.
We leaned into each other, Satoshi's head rested on my shoulder and my
head rested on his head.  That's when I heard it.
"Snorrrrrreee . . ."
I chuckled inwardly at his gentle snoring and laid him on the bed.  He'd
had a hard day, Satoshi deserved a nap.  Yawning myself I looked at the
inviting warmth the blankets would provide and the soft pillow that
begged for my head to rest on.
I wasn't about to refuse such an inviting invitation.
<"Sleep well, my friend.">
