J: What's this?
V: Oh, there's a clearing up at the tip of the Island. I thought maybe we could build a big SOS or a help or both, you know we may get lucky, if a plane flies over, and they'll send a rescue team.
Jax laughs
V: It could
happen!
J: Oh, I'm not making fun of your idea, or anything. I was just thinking that a lot of people spend small fortunes to be stranded on an island like this.
V: Yeah, funny, I never understood why until last night.
J: Oh yeah, what happened then?
V. looks away embarrassed
V: The um, sound
of the water, the warm breeze, and that sky, I don't know when I've ever
seen a sky like that. It's was so simple, like a big black dome,
with jewels sparkling all over it. But then again, it's beautiful right
now, too. For all we know their could be dozens of stars shooting around
at this very minute.
J: Hidden by the sunlight, it's a shame
V: Well just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.
I believe the universe is full of hidden blessings.
J: A touch of the poet Ardanowsky. You ought to let it out more often.
V: Well, letting things out usually gets me into trouble, so I've learned to hold it in.
J: Well that's a waste.
V: I'm going to get started on the SOS
J: Ok, I'll help
V. hears something
V: It's a boat. It's already half past us, what are we going
to do?
J: We light the signal fire and pray we're not too late. With any luck we'll see the stars from somewhere else tonight
