10/24/97 Show
Thanks to Tracee and Irene for letting me use their transcript
V: Evening.
Brenda: Hi.
V: Hey. Wow, you look so different. If you don't mind my saying so.
Brenda: Oh I... I took a nap.
V: No that's not it, you seem, um... I don't know, at peace?
Brenda: Oh well... I feel a little at peace.
V: Yeah? Did your sister go home?
Julia:(walking in the open door, arms folder, a little curt): Her *sister*, thank you very much, is right here.
V: Oh no... I'm sorry... no, all I really meant by that, was that well, I knew there was some sort of.
Jax: This is uh... this is my assistant, V. Ardanowski. She's actually a very nice person.
Julia: Hi... Julia Barrett.
V: Hi... nice to meet you.
Julia: Hey... you two aren't going to work tonight are you?
V: Yeah... afraid so.
Julia: Oh... c'mon Jax... Let's turn this into a party!
V is sitting on the left couch, looking over papers as Jax comes back in, closing the door behind him.
Jax: Are these the cable company buy?
V: Oh... I have them over here.
Jax(walks over, takes the paper, eyeing the brown bag by the couch): What's that?
V: Oh... I'll tell you in a minute. First. I have an apology to make.
Jax: What for?
V: For telling you it was a mistake to fly out Brenda's sister. It was rude, intrusive, and no one asked for my opinion.
Jax: Then why'd you give it?
V: Well okay... some people like to beat around the bush. I uh... blurt. I'm sorry Jax, I should have stayed out of it.
Jax: There's no reason to apologize, okay.
V: No, I think that there is. Not only was I wrong... I was out of line.
Jax: Look there's no way you could have known that the two of them would've eventually hit it off.
V: Which is why from now on, I decided to restrict my conversations to business. No chit-chatting, no uh... personal revelations. I'm just gonna do my work and keep my opinions and my unsolicited advice to myself.

V: What are you thinking?
Jax: Maybe this isn't the job for you after all?
