47 ELIZABETH BROWN, oldest daughter of Zadoc Tomlinson, born in N. C. 1802 and married John Brown, a farmer living near Yorktown, Ind. They had a son and daughter Anna who married J. Harvey Koontz of Yorktown. She died leaving a daughter, Nettie, who married but no further information could be obtained. The son, Wm. Brown, married Sarah Miller of Va. by whom three sons and one daughter was born: two sons still living. W. Scott Brown is a principal of schools at Ruthton, Minn., unmarried. Wm. W. is married and lives at Omaha, Neb. Wm. Brown, Sr. died on the Wright Heath farm about 1869 and his family moved to Brooklyn, Iowa where they died. Aunt Betsy was a remarkably bright woman, though a great sufferer from rheumatism.

Hon. Jacob Harvey Koontz
Mr. Koontz was born December 27, 1827, in Fayette County In. His parents, Jacob and Deborah (Combs) Koontz were natives of Virginia. He married June 1853 to Miss Anna Brown who died in 1855, leaving one daughter. On the 24th of July, 1857, he was wedded to Miss Viletta A.Shimer. Of this union were born five children, four of whom now survive.

47 JOHN K. TOMLINSON, born in N. C. 1806, married Eliza Underwood of Kentucky, 1833, by whom three sons and seven daughters were born. They moved from Ohio to the old Mt. Zion neighborhood where they lived until 1864. He had been a student of military tactics when a young man and was drill master of the Home guards during the Civil War. He moved to Wells County, Ind. where he farmed until his death 1875, age 69.

47 ANNA BONHAM, second daughter of Zadoc Tomlinson, was born 1810 and married John Bonham, a farmer of Middletown, Ind. they died leaving no children.

47 SARAH WILLIAMS, born in Ohio, 1815, married 1834 to Wm. Y. Williams to whom were born seven sons and two daughters. She lived and died on a farm three miles west of Muncie. She died 1856 age 41.

William Y. WIlliams was the son of John R. Williams born May 6, 1789, in Brunswick Co., Virginia, and Mahala York Williams March 25, 1793, in Eaton, Ohio. William Y. was the second of ten children. He was born May 17, 1812, near Eaton, Ohio. He grew up there and on August 21, 1834, he was married to Sarah Tomlinson. When William was 21, his father gave him $150. Using this money, he came to Indiana, walking from Eaton to Indianaplis to the Government Land Office where he enetered 120 acres of land southwest of Munceytown in 1834. It was then known as the Pernel Tomlinson farm....His wife Sarah died in 1856, leaving a family of seven boys and two girls. He married Esther Maroney in 1857 at Eaton, Ohio.
