Background

The park is situated about 180kms west of Mendoza. It was declared a reserve in 1983.

It covers about 71 000 hectares in the Central Andes. The height of Aconcagua is 6962m above sea level.

Aconcagua in its whole falls in Argentina and is not a border to any neighboring countries.
