Base Camp has all the luxuries that one can wish for.  Pubs, restaurants, toilets and yes, hot showers.  The latter at a cost of course.

From here you will prepare your camps on the mountain. 
Teams usually prepare two camps.  Camp 1 at Nido de Cóndores (5350m) and Camp 2 at Berlin (5850m).
