Once you arrive in Mendoza you will need to secure your Climbing Permit. This is done at the offices in "Parque San Martin" . They are situated about 50m from the parks main entrance. Go early to avoid waiting. From here you can start traveling to Plaza de Mulas.
From here you will drive to either Hosteria los Penitentesor to Puente del Inca. Here you will spend the night and enter the park the following morning. The Hosteria owners drove us to the park entrance where the trek starts.
At the entrance you have to check in with the park rangers where they will check your permits and issue you with a rubbish bag.
