This is a multi modality sharing of many healing modalities and your own natural healing abilities. Those needing healing may attend. Suggested donation is $10. For more information see the flyer. Did you know . . . The Temple By-Laws offers members a procedure for filing grievances? Check out Article IV Membership, Section 4 Responsibility of Members (C) Members have the right to file a grievance which must be submitted in writing to the Temple of Healing . . . . The grievance must relate personally to the member and not pertain to hearsay and/or other individuals. The Board must investigate with 14 days of the date of receipt of correspondence and respond in writing to the member within 30 days. If you would like to have the bulletin and other announcements emailed to you, please sign up in the BookStore. OUTREACH Our food pantry is in need of food non-perishable food items. We currently have a need for items to make a meal and especially canned meat products. Household goods are also needed. Please do not bring clothing items as the Temple has no place to store them. Our Outreach Program includes Metropolitan Ministries which helps those less fortunate in our community by providing food, clothing and personal items. Metropolitan Ministries can always use donations of canned foods, non-perishable food, over the counter medications, personal and dental hygiene items, and mosquito repellent. Rev. Jackie Hinz will be pleased to talk with you about other items you might wish to donate. When you drop your change in the Change For Charities bank in the BookStore you are helping our Outreach program to reach those less fortunate in our community. Please place the names you would like a healing prayer for in our Prayer Bowl by the sanctuary door. Our Sunshine Committee would like you to notify us if you know anyone who is ill or in the hospital. We would like to send them a card to let them know we care and they are in our prayers. Please notify either Rev. Ruth Housden or Judy Russell-Warner. Please fill out a new member form with your current address and phone if you have moved during this year. It is important that we have your correct address on file. We would also like to have your email address to keep you updated on Temple events. If you are interested in becoming a member of our Temple family you will find the forms in the BookStore. Membership is $10 per year. The Spiritist Society of Florida meets the last Sunday of every month 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Temple. The Society practices and studies the Spiritist Doctrine as codifed by Allan Kardec. Why attend a Seance? There are many reasons. The loss of a loved one can have a really deep impact on our lives. Many of us who have lost our spouses, children, relatives, friends and pets would like to make contact with them to say goodbye or ask an important question. Getting Ready and setting your intentions: 1.Who would you like to contact, what would you like to say to or ask them and why? Write it down! 2. Be open to what comes up during the Seance. Receiving a message is a gift. The medium does not control the message. 3. The Temple of Love and Healing is a wonderful place to hold the Seance with the continuing assistance there from the other side Charlene is an seance medium with years of experience. Her training, coupled with her natural abilities, is important in handling external influences and tuning out what does not belong. The Seance Purpose Before you attend the seance be sure you clearly understand what you desire. Is to to understand things that have or may happen? To say goodbye or have closure? Our rule is age 12 and up and only if well behaved. (That goes for all ages) Any disruption affects the energies. The Seance Participants: 1. This is not a game, it is a thought provoking experience that can bring you knowledge and understanding. 2. Be patient and accepting of the process and the outcome – whatever that may be. The message often fits your energy of the moment. People who have a loving and open attitude are more likely to get a message that fits their request. 3. Know your purpose for being there. The spirit world communicates through a loving vibration and it is this open channel between this world and the next that enables communication. 4. Take notes!! Who should not attend. 1. Anybody who is cynical or skeptical about the process. Wrong energy. 2. A frightened person. 3. Anybody who has fear or hatred for others attending the Seance. The Seance’s Location: What is the perfect location. That depends on the purpose of the Seance. The Seance Process Talk quietly amongst yourselves until everybody is settled. There will be techniques in the beginning and throughout used to balance the energies, create protection and to have all participate in the process. Many beings will want to come through the medium, often at the same time. The medium is the filter of these requests focusing on one thing at a time. The love vibration should be held by all the participants. During the Seance be aware of your own messages that come to you. Discussion As time allows, there will be a discussion period at the End. Do not discus things during the Seance. What to bring: An Open mind and an open heart. Your Questions. Personal possessions vibrate with energy of who you want to connect with. Paper to write on. Forgiveness may be granted without any expectation of restorative justice. People that forgive are happier and healthier than those who hold resentments. Forgiveness can be learned. Non-judgmental ~ Avoiding judgments based on one’s personal moral standards. This is harder to learn but can be achieved with self-awareness of our words, thoughts and actions. This is a conscious effort on ones part until it becomes a way of life. Unconditional Love ~ To Love someone regardless of one’s actions or beliefs. God’s love for humankind through the for-giveness of Christ. When your child is bad you don’t stop loving your child, you teach your child. Unconditional love operates on every level of life through the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies and is expressed when you become conscious of its presence. One has to learn to forgive and be forgiven. You need to achieve this to experience unconditional love. It is a way of life and a conscious effort, but well worth it.
