ARC'ENGAL

-No picture available...yet-

Unless you're the world's most unobservant person, you may have noticed that this character shares my name. Well, there are reasons for that. Lots of which may put you off sending me e-mails (lol). Anyway, Arc'engal is Sestren's second in command. He's a drone. With wings. His name is a pun on "Archangel". There isn't much I can say about him that doesn't come under spoilers. So if you want to know more about Arc'engal, keep reading.

Ok, here we go. Arc'engal was created during the Light Wing/Drone project, in the Underground lab at Uru. He was one of those drones who suffered a "thought index failure" (according to the glyph) and was discarded as nothing more than trash. He tried to survive as best he could, trying to get back to the lab (and salvation, so he thought), but along the way he was ambushed by Mutant Hoppers. The Hoppers made short work of him and he was badly injured before the Hoppers realised they didn't like the taste of drones.
Barely alive, Arc'engal (as he would be known) made it back to the lab. Finding it deserted, he collapsed in the middle of the lab in a puddle of his own pity. He made a vow to himself that if he ever got another chance, he'd get revenge on those who left him to die.

Just then, a flashing light revealed itself to Arc'engal. Guess who it was?

It was Sestren. THE Sestren (Sestren Primal). He offered Arc'engal a new chance of life, in exchange for services. Arc'engal took up the offer, and Sestren gave him the new life he so badly needed. His body became fully healed, and gained new strength and muscle. Despite all the muscle, he felt light as air, and realised after a short try-out that he was as agile as any Hopper or Stryder.
The final power Sestren gave him was his two new wings: silver, metallic wings that could expand and contract at will, allowing him to blend in in crowds (providing he covered his black and white skin color up). The wings have three advantages: they were completely indestructable, they were fully flexible and they also allowed Arc'engal to fire shards of metal at anything he wished.
With this new life-force, Arc'engal began working for Sestren. He recruited various monsters to work for Sestren, including Tyrune. He created the process which gave birth to the Hybrids, and consequently the Brotherhood of Sestren. He also took on Kroma as a partner.
But not a day went by without him remembering his vow to get revenge on those who left him to die. One day, he asked Sestren what became of those that created him, Sestren imparted that all of the scientists were long dead. Enraged, Arc'engal screamed at the heavens and vowed he'd get some kind of revenge. That's when Sestren showed him Azel.
As soon as Arc'engal saw Azel, he realised that this was his chance at revenge: to ruin the projects purpose. Over time however, he became slightly confused, and internal conflicts sprung up. Does he hate Azel because she was the outcome he was not, or does he feel compassion for her for all she tried to do for the dying world? These conflicts eventually merged when Arc'engal and Azel met for the first time, a story which has yet to be told on this website (or Solo's). The story's title is "Journey to the Underworld", so look out for it.
So what becomes of Arc'engal in the long run? To be honest, even I don't know. I'd love to see him go down as a hero, but at the same time, his villain background is pretty cool.*sighs*

Those qualities of Arc'engal that I share, you're wondering? I'm sure you all have felt the pain of love/lust: do you hate the person for rejecting you, or do you keep loving them all the same? It's madness isn't it? Well, that's Arc'engal in a nutshell. He is, basically, the Angel of Scorn, and wants revenge on all those who have discarded him. In many ways, he's my dark side. And he is probably the darkest character in the history of fan fiction. But don't let that put you off.
