BROOKFIELD CENTRAL CLASS OF '76
20TH REUNION, November 30, 1996
Gee, 1976, seems like yesterday. Don't feel any different.
Ah, those good old days. Gerry Ford was president.
Hardly any UPC codes. Gas about 50 cents per gallon.
School assemblies so loud you could go deaf. I was on the
Legend and Tyro and everywhere with my 35mm camera.
Pause... Flash go 20 years.
Y2K on the horizon. United States of Europe
on the horizon. Cold war over. Computers everywhere.
World Wide Web is just catching on. I still have my
35mm camera. But I captured this occasion too. Not everyone,
and not in tedious detail. Just a few vignettes, some friendly
smiles. We are the same, and different. Shared memories bind
us like scholastic siblings. Rivalry? Maybe. Business? Maybe.
A good time of food, dance and fun? Definately. The festivities
took place at Zorba's near Bluemound and Barker Rd.
I don't remember all the names and faces that well, but I tried to
put a brief description with each photo. I just used the maiden names
of the ladies, as I remember them. Excuse that fauxpas please.
If you have more information or corrections, I'll be happy to look
them over. Want copies of these color photos? Find someone with
web access and a color printer. Look back. Look forward.
Maybe there will be a 25 year reunion? or a 30 year?
I hope so. See you then.
