Maple Reds & Moon

Morning light warmly shows the glow of
sunrise on the changing leaves. The moon
fades as the sun reasserts it's rule.

The Crimson Carpet
After donning their
colors fall to carpet
the forest floor and
come within our reach.

Secret life of Moss

Lastly, hugging the
warm earth happy
moss bathes in the
cool rays of sunshine.

Gnarly Pine

Trees that grew,
but having gone
reveal their
inner twist, a
swirl that
reveals a
galaxy of wood.

Intense Sumac
Along the south
shore boardwalk
sumac tries out
a rainbow and
we stare amazed !

Once a Tree
Amid the pine needles it once was pine,
it's foundation the home of moss & lichen.
Waiting year after year for my camera to
steal a moment in time.

Shout it from the Treetops
The raging gold of a triumphant maple that
defies the sky and the wind. As we stood and
watched the leaves shout and fall before our feet.
We march onward to the next hour, season, age.
