Simplicity. Shannon's life is simple. There are no complications. Shannon knows who doesn't like him. (Both of them.) And that's about all he has to keep track of. There is no skelatons in the closet.
He tries not to spite people, tries to get along with people, despite what some people tell him. If I put the effort in, I can actually interact okay with most people.
Take Sue. Talked to Sue. Sue's nice. At a party, she was alone, shannon struck up a conversation. Turned out that there was a common area... PHP? yah, me know of that one. No, shannon not hitting on her, but yes, she is attractive. I perfer conversation and intelligence to simple getting drunk and or music.
Conversation is better than music. Shannon uses music to supress conversation, and to de-tune from others. It help him work.
Other people seem to make their life complex. Seem to do things to annoy or spite others. Shannon think this bad.
