Świdnica is a city of 65,000 inhabitants in the Lower Silesia voivodship, situated in south west Poland.  Świdnica boasts a mediaeval urban complex.  The city's Old Town is regarded as the most valuable one in Lower Silesia, comparable only to that in Krakow and Torun .
