Well we spent monday night practicing (and recording ourselves practicing) our entire set, and it paid off BIGTIME. Last night the Ten Gallon Heros won first place in the first ever IMSA Battle of the Bands! We just added a ton of MP3s and photos for you guys; the latter are thanks to Lacy, I believe; thanks! our next appearance is this coming tuesday at the AASA fashion show, where we have a secret song prepared for everyone... so come check us out, i command you! -kyle

We've cut our set list to 7 for the Battle of the Bands, which is to be held Tuesday the 23rd, in the IMSA Auditorium. We're psyched right now as we've just completed our first two full-song recordings ever, Dumpweed and El Scorcho. We recorded them in the room with a borrowed little white computer microphone (thanks Nate), but they actually turned out to be pretty good! Hearing ourselves for the first time has us psyched for the show -- come support us guys! Check them out in the MP3 section. -kyle

3.15.02

We've been working hard on an array of songs for the first IMSA Battle of the Bands, which has been postponed repeatedly. That's fine with us though; just gives the other bands more time to prepare for a butt-whoopin :)

1.25.02

Ryan brought his nice electric drumset and set them up in his/Kyle's room. All the amps and such are set up in the room, and there's barely enough room for all of our equipment plus the 5 of us, but we plan to practice often.

Ryan Spraetz named as new TGH drummer along with Kyle Wild as our new frontman. Work on "Your Eyes" is for the most part complete. We will be playing the final version of that song on Tuesday at the No Name Club's Talent Show...all on the IMSA campus should go!!

11.15.01

Ten Gallon Heros are chartered as an official IMSA club!

Things are finally moving forward! Its about damn time too. A bunch of things are being shook up in order to make things work this year...its been really tough trying to "replace" Bobby (college gets the best of us), but our new guitarist, Mike Andreoli, is nothing short of awesome. We've also got our eye on a new drummer to replace Branson who will be playing rythm guitar from now on. The first recordings of the new cd have begun and there should be some sound clips up before too long. Special thanks to our new producer Josh Kinney for all the help with recording/mixing and for making us get off our butts and do something. Projected release date: Late November.

Ok, for the past couple of weeks the bands on campus have been at kind of a standstill as to being able to practice. As of now we are trying to work something out with the music department where we can secure a perminant place where the bands on campus can play...untill then things are kind of at a stand still. Hopefully we can work things out and everyone can get back to playing.
