2nd week of October

One of my main goals when I designed this site's layout, was to create a Schwarz site where the main colour was NOT black. It was difficult. I though about other colours with a negative meaning behind them, such as purple, that has a funerary connotation. After trying out several colour combinations, I decided that these two colours should be the basic ones:

I also used this golden yellow, and a bit of the inevitable black here and there.

The all site should not have a regular and prosaic appearance (like the one I have now in Jade Eyes). I wanted a sort of... chaotic unusual look. I came out with the layout you're looking at now. I personally don't think it's chaotic enough...

Then, there is the concept. The main idea was to show Schwarz as an anti-virus. An anti-virus against what? Well, to understand this you should read this little introduction text. There are some elements that illustrate this idea. For example, the "sonar" on the top left side was inspired on the Panda Antivirus Logo...

But there're also some other elements: the big large black wheel on the right side, is actually a modified zodiac wheel... A way of connect the new with the old, the technology with the myth...

I had some problems with the site's name. Something like "Schwarz anti-virus" was just way out of line...

And this is a site where some "difficult" issues are treated... such as sexuality. So, I created some warning signs. I had some other signs ideas, like these ones:

	polemic contents
	sexual contents

... but I abandoned them...

I'm still having problems with the site's name.

I just spent a few hours if this day thinking out a site name… I thought about the basic stuff: synonyms of black, evil, darkness; and also words related with virus, anti-virus, and so forth… Thinking about this anti-virus thing, I almost went for one of the names I came up with: "Drastic measures". But, some how, that didn't say it all… and "Panacea", just sounded too bad >_<.
Of course, I had to go after those great peaces of literature: dictionaries! Now, what can you find under Black? "Of the darkest colour"; obscure; without colour; opposite of white *wink, wink*. Then, this dictionary search kind of got out of hand, because I even started to consider ideas such as "Black out", "Black Sheep", or "Black Eye"!
Then, I picked up another little book I have here: a Dictionary of Symbols. Under Black, one could find ideas such as "limit", "opposite", "the nothing", eternal silence, no return fall in the nothing. The colour was also connected to the idea of the "primal chaos"… So, you can see know where this site's name came from: the appearance of Schwarz would bring the Last Chaos: a regenerating destruction, erasing everything back to the start… I also thought of the name Final Chaos, but that sounded too much like that computer game, and it would be sort of confusing.
Hum… maybe I should have stick with "Drastic Measures"…
