This idea just popped into my head, and I HAD to write it, despite the incredibly late hour and the incredibly important test I have tomorrow. Haha, aw, but with the ideas floating through my head .. *cackle cackle* ... it just had to be written! Warnings include yaoi, a little profanity, and ... well, weÕll see about the rest! ^ ~ Enjoy~!! ~Tenken *As-of-yet-untitled-fic* by Tenken no Miko Part One ÒLame, lame lame,Ó Duo complained. He was sitting on his dorm room bed, books and note paper strewn about him. He had just about given up the idea of doing his homework. ÒLike I need to learn this for the hundredth time ...!Ó He picked up a math textbook with a particularly cheesy cover. Not only was he capable of doing everything in the book, but he could have probably written a better one himself. The snowstorm had stranded them in their dorm building, school having been canceled for the day. Duo was almost sad that he wouldnÕt be allowed to socialize with his classmates. Almost. ÒOi! Heero! Whatcha doing over there? IÕm booored out of my mind!Ó Heero sat at his laptop, as usual, typing away at something Duo couldnÕt even imagine. When Heero didnÕt answer, Duo crawled over his bed full of junk and leaned over HeeroÕs shoulder. ÒMan, you are soo lame! Hacking into the school records again. Why donÕt you put some games on that thing?Ó ÒSomeone has to take care of our finances,Ó Heero answered. He raised an eyebrow, glancing at Duo. ÒAnd your grades up ...Ó Duo folded his arms over his chest and pouted. ÒHey! I earned that 75 all by myself ...!Ó ÒHn,Ó was HeeroÕs only reply. ÒWhy donÕt you go visit Quatre and Trowa?Ó he asked, not looking up from the computer screen. Duo chuckled. ÒWhy would I do that?? I donÕt want to interrupt anything ...Ó Duo couldnÕt help but laugh. Heero stopped typing, swiveling his chair so he faced the braided pilot. ÒWhat do you mean?Ó ÒYou know exactly what I mean!Ó Duo snickered. ÒItÕs so obvious with the two of them!Ó ÒWhatÕs obvious?Ó Heero asked, still not getting DuoÕs point. Duo rolled his eyes. WasnÕt perfect soldier boy supposed to know everything? ÒHeero! TheyÕre .. you-know ...Ó Heero was silent for a moment, then understanding visibly dawned on his face. He frowned. ÒNo theyÕre not.Ó Duo leaned on the armrestÕs of HeeroÕs chair, bringing their faces only inches away from each other. ÒHow much you wanna bet ...?Ó A knock on the door startled the two boys, and Duo nearly jumped away from HeeroÕs chair. They stared at the door until a sweet voice chimed in from the hall ÒDuo? Heero? ItÕs meee. You guys in there?Ó ÒVery funny, Quatre,Ó Duo called as he went to open the door. He knew perfectly well there was nowhere for them to go with the snow storm outside; that and it was six in the evening on a school night. It was against campus rules for them to leave after dark. Duo opened the door, letting Quatre into the room. Following closely behind him was Trowa. Both looked a bit flushed, and unlike Heero and Duo, were dressed in heavy, outdoor clothing. Duo looked down at his own t-shirt and shorts. ÒWhere did you guys go?! ItÕs snowing like hell out there!Ó Quatre giggled. ÒWell, I really wanted to go to town today, so we left this morning before it got really nasty outside. Guess we were out longer than I thought ...Ó ÒYouÕre lucky you didnÕt get stuck!Ó Duo said. He sat down in the middle of the hard wood floor, crossing his long legs. ÒSo whatÕs up?Ó Quatre pulled a chair from the corner of the room, the only one there besideÕs the one at HeeroÕs desk He placed it in front of Duo, and immediately began pouring out the events of the day. Trowa stood listening, smiling faintly at how the blond was so excited. Ò...So Trowa and I went toward the shopping district, and it was really really cold and very windy, and I saw this nice little shop on the way, so we went inside, and guess what? It was one of those ÔNew ageÕ shops that sells candles and incense and witchy-things!Ó ÒWitchy-things?Ó Duo asked, finally getting a word in. At this rate, Quatre would be talking more than the braided boy himself. Quatre beamed. ÒYeah, witchy-things! Like ... uhm ... well, you know what I mean! And then the weirdest thing happened ...Ó Quatre stood in the New Age shop, rubbing his freezing hands together. Trowa was next to him, shaking snow off of his jacket. When they adjusted to the warmth of the store, they began looking around. Trowa was immediately drawn to the shelves of books. Some were crisp, new books, many about the pagan religion, chakra, and meditation. Some of the books, however, were dusty and neglected, and held far more interesting titles as far as the brown-haired boy was concerned. He pulled one particularly old book and flipped it open. ÒWow, Quatre, look at this.Ó Quatre came over, still holding the candles he was looking at. ÒWhat is it?Ó Trowa tilted the book for Quatre. ÒThis book talks about summoning spirits ...Ó ÒEvocation.Ó Trowa and Quatre spun around to face who had spoken to them. They saw a raven-haired woman dressed in a flowing purple dress. She smiled, her lips a deep shade of red. ÒItÕs called evocation. When a spirit is summoned to appear before the practitioner.Ó Trowa and Quatre were speechless, still surprised by the appearance of the strange woman. She looked between the two of them, a smile still on her rose-colored lips. She came forward and extended her hand. ÒMy name is Lillia. Your names are ...?Ó Quatre, who was closer to the woman, took her hand in a gentle shake. ÒMy name is-Ó ÒQuatre Raberba Winner ... yes.Ó The woman named Lillia said. Trowa and Quatre both found their jaws unhinged. ÒHow did you know?Ó Quatre asked. ÒI can tell,Ó she said. ÒIt came from your touch. YouÕre a very special young man, Quatre. All five of you, though in different ways ...Ó ÒWhat do you mean,Ó Trowa asked quietly. He was more than a little suspicious of the woman. Lillia fixed her eyes on the taller boy. ÒThereÕs a little magic in everyone, Trowa is it? That the five of you were brought together was no stroke of luck.Ó Lillia turned to Quatre again, gently squeezing the hand still in her grasp. ÒQuatre and I have something in common You can sense it, canÕt you Quatre? The thread that connects you all. You hear and you feel things that others donÕt ...Ó ÒThe uchuu no kokoro ...?Ó Quatre whispered. Lillia nodded. ÒIt has many names, but it is a power you have always had.Ó Quatre and Trowa stood still, eyes wide. How could she have known about the space heart? Lillia laughed, a light and flirty laugh that woke them from their momentary daze. ÒDonÕt worry ... youÕll understand ... and soon, apparently. Why donÕt I show you some things that you might find ... interesting?Ó Quatre and Trowa looked at each other, then back at Lillia. What could she mean? Duo stared up at Quatre from his seat on the floor, mouth hanging open. Even the usually preoccupied Heero had quit typing and turned to watch Quatre tell his tale. ÒHow do you know she isnÕt working for OZ?Ó Heero asked suspiciously. Trowa shook his head. ÒThereÕs no way she could have known about the uchuu no kokoro ... Ò Quatre nodded in agreement. ÒI got the strangest feeling from her ... but sheÕs not lying. I would have seen right past her lie.Ó ÒSo what did you get?Ó Duo asked. Quatre smiled. ÒIÕll show you. Let me just go and get Wufei.Ó
