Twenty three albums were released by the band  in the next quarter century.  Several were live or of the greatest hits variety.  Some of the better known which did not fall into the above were "Too Old To Rock and Roll, Too Young To Die" in 1976, "Songs from the Wood" (1977), "Heavy Horses" (1978), "Stormwatch" (1979), "A" (1980), "Broadsword and the Beast" (1982), "Under Wraps" (1984), "Crest of the Knave" (1987), "Rock Island" (1989), "Catfish Rising" (1991), "Roots to Branches" (1995), and "j-tull Dot Com" (1999).

STAND UP A Brief History Continued

In the years that followed to the present produced many changes and many albums.  In 1976 John Glasscock replaced Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond on the bass.  He unfortunately died in 1979.     Don Airie (keyboards), Angela Allen (vocals), Martin Allcock (keyboards), Steve Bailey (guitar), John "Rabbit" Bundrick (keyboards), Gerry Conway (drums), Mark Craney (drums), Eddie Jobson (violin), Dave Mattacks (drums), David Palmer (sax, keyboards), Foster Paterson (keyboards), David Pegg (guitar), Maddy Prior (vocals), Ric Sanders (violin), Peter-John Vetesse (keyboards) are among the  musicians who have come and gone - some more than once - over the years.    The current band is made up of Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, Jonathan Noyce (bass), Andrew Giddings (keyboards), and Doane Perry (drums).
