B-1 is a Rock Shelter located literally, in my backyard ( one of two). The archeological content of B-1 has partially been destroyed due to erosion from a natural spring emerging from both sides. To stop the erosion, I have installed plastic water line into each spring and channeled it to the edge of the shelter. The main camping area located to the right of the shelter, has revealed a campfire area, and what appears to be a fallen rock wall. The ceiling above the main camp area is soot tarnished along with the ceiling above the main camp on a shelf. ( The shelf appears to have been used for light) On the floor of the shelf, I have found remains of Horse or cow dung and wood used to burn in the fires. The left side of the shelter shows no inhabitance on the surface or to the eye. It does show signs of once being the "wet" side due to the mineral deposit formations. All in all, B-1 has been a point hunters dream.. |
