Site F-1 is a maze of fields that never gives up that last relic. Every trip I have made to F-1 (a.k.a. Rock Springs) has never left me leaving empty handed. Be it a bird point, or a tool of some sort, the fields continue to please. The site lies approximately 2 miles from a well known mound in the area. Artifacts from most periods have been found at Rock Springs. (still waiting to find Paleo) It seems most point hunters that have hunted this area, have been looking mainly for the "classic" arrowhead shape. Most of our finds consist of tools and odd shaped or odd colored points. (mainly tools). yet a surprise or two does emerge from the dirt every now and then. |
