Arantxa failed to defend the Spanish Open this year, falling to Chanda Rubin in straight sets.

Arantxa reached her third consecutive doubles final, this time pairing up with Paraguayan Rossana Neffa-Da Los Rios.

Arantxa ended up as bridesmaid yet again in the doubles final.

The doubles final featured 3 former No. 1 doubles players in Arantxa, Martina and Natasha. Really great to see these former champions take to the court together. It may one of the last few chances to see these veterans share centrestage on the tennis courts in future, so let's cherish it while we can.

Arantxa, Rossana, Martina and Natasha showing off their trophies and prizes. Do they all get a new Volkswagen from the sponsors? Cool.

Great to see the quirky Natasha back and winning as well. She certainly is a joy to watch.
