All My Life

All my life, I've been waiting for you,
To come through the door and say it's alright.
You are out there in the world, and someday I'll find you.

All my life, I thought you were just in my dreams,
I could see you so clearly in them.
You looked and felt and smelled SO real.

All my life, I dreamed of a man to sweep me off my feet,
To show me all the fun in life.
Now I know that will never come true.
