Shohoku Vs. Anime Toonz

“O-high-yo!, Sakuragi-kun..” I heard Haruko greeted the red-headed Shohoku member at the gate. “Ah.. Haruko-san.. NyaahhhHahahahhHAhah... I know you’d come to cheer me for the game!!” Sakuragi said.

How swell-headed he is. But anyway, Haruko flashes him that usual encouraging smile and nodded to him. I looked around. It is quite crowded for a casual basketball tournament. The Anime ToonZ has challenged the Shohoku for a game. Maybe that what makes people interested.

“Argh, Rukawa!! How dare you!!” Sakuragi’s shout made me look back at him. Both Sakuragi and Rukawa are tumbled to the ground. I recognized that scene somewhere... ~ah-Ha! Rukawa must have hit Sakuragi with his bicycle again. Haruko was standing nearby, looking red. Miyagi and Mitsui just came in the gate and laugh like crazy.

“Don’t stand in my way..” Rukawa said 1st. “Baka.. you foxy face, ” Sakuragi replied.

Rukawa ignored him and stands up, climb up his bicycle and fell asleep again. Oh, brother.. but he looks cute anyway ^_^ Then, a paper fan hit Sakuragi’s head. Yup, you got it. It’s Ayako.

“Don’t just sit there! Aren’t you going to play the game?” Ayako said.

Now this time, Miyagi’s face goes red. Hehe.. he looks cute when he does that. He talked to Ayako for a while and Sakuragi to Haruko. Mitsui just stand there with Kogure who just arrived and looked around. Mitsui’s really cool... Uh-oh! Sempai Akagi is coming..

“Are we all here?” he asks with that usual commanding tone to Ayako. “We should get ready inside the gym.”

All 6 members of Shohoku crowded into the gym after that. I sighed. It’s early in the morning and those boys already made a scene outside the gym. Wait till they get to play. Then, a bus arrived at the gate. Some people hopped down the bus. I rushed with the other students to greet the members of Anime ToonZ.

Their members are made up of Kenshin of Samurai X (Pheewit! He looks soooooo- adorable!!), Mao of Cooking Master Boy (or Chuuka Ichiban..), Ukiya of Gatekeepers, Aki of Ayashi No Ceres and — - now who’s that last member?? Oh yeah.. it’s Sanzo of Gensomaden Saiyuki.

“Ohigh-yo gozaimasu kenshin-san!!” I said.
Kenshin replied back and smiled at me. EEEeeEeEEee.... I love it! ^_^ Anyway, before i get carried away only telling you the story outside the gym, let’s move inside the gym then.

INSIDE THE GYM....

Standing on one side of the floor, I see 5 starting members of Shohoku warming up. While on the other side, the Anime ToonZ just sit around and talk. The game’s only a friendly 20 minutes game with a break on the 10th minute. I have no idea how the game’s going to be.. I mean, how often do you see a cook, or a former assassin, or a gatekeeper or whatever plays basketball??

On the Anime ToonZ bench, I recognized some of them. I think the one’s on the left is Kaoru, and next to her is Ruriko. And that one may be Mei Li. So, shorten the case, the game finally begins. Earlier, the judge informed that since the Anime ToonZ doesn’t actually play basketball as a hobby, so they might get excused for breaking a rule. Everybody agreed and the whistle rang, the game starts.

Shohoku got the 1st ball , that’s Rukawa no doubt.. and dashed forward. Sakuragi get annoyed and followed Rukawa. I am getting restless.. How the hell they’re going to stop powerful Shohoku I thought to myself.. Ukiya came to face Rukawa 1st and shouted “Vacuum Missile!”. Suddenly, some circle-shaped light appears and blow the ball from Rukawa’s hand. Rukawa and other members of Shohoku was stunned.

Wow.. how did he do that? What i saw he did in the tv i thought only was special effect! I never knew he actually OWN that special power. The gym fell silent and stared at Ukiya. He just rub the back of his head, smiled innocently and asked, “What?” The crowd applaused, even the Sakuragi’s Army. Hehe.. ok maybe not that Rukawa’s personal 3-membered cheerleaders.. So anyway, the ball is now in the hands of Mitsui, who quickly made a successful 3 point then. He high-fived with Miyagi.

The next ball was the ToonZ’s. Mao got the ball and faces Miyagi. “Hey, Miyagi.. be nice on me, we’re both short anyway..” Mao said.

Miyagi has that rugged-looking face (just like when he met the bad mitsui..) and replied, “Height is no matter. Especially since you’re shorter than me.” Miyagi laugh shortly.

“Oh, really?” Mao asked. Unexpectedly, he move very quickly and passed the ball to Aki. Aki ran forward and tried a normal shoot, but missed. Sakuragi tried a rebound, and then cut by Mao, who use the shining legendary cooking tool to reach the ball just enough so the ball goes in the ring... and YaY!! The refree said the shoot is a count!

This is not going to be a one-sided game after all.. both team’s powerful. Guess i should put it Shohoku is powerful, and Anime ToonZ is supernatural powerful.. now that sounds more like it.. This is getting really exciting! But then my friends got thirsty and since i was the nearest to get to buy some drinks.. i was put to work.

Geez, I hate to miss the game... but oh well.. I’m thirsty myself. I walked up to a corridor. On my way, I saw the Kainan and Ryonan members watching the game, too. I heard cheers for both teams as i walked to a drink machine (or whatver it is called..). Another girl is there before me and standing, drinking. She seems familiar, so i walked up to her and said hi. Guess what?! It’s Aya!!

“You’re Aya!! You’re that infamous Ayashi No Ceres star!!” I was bewildered to meet her.

She smiled and said hi back to me, and we talked for a while. I noticed she really resembles a lot to Aki. Twins, anyway. Then I realized, the game’s still going on.. and asks her if she wants to see the game with me. She got me interested when she use her power and got some drinks out of the machine for free. She’s really cool!!

So back to the game.. the ball is with Sakuragi now. Kenshin snatched the ball with his samurai and as he ‘flies’, he pass the ball to Sanzo. Then Sanzo mumble something that the ball automatically goes in the Shohoku ring! Can you believe that?.. and it’s a 3 point!

The next shoot was succeeded by Gori. Oops.. i mean Sempai Akagi.. He made a dunk. Actually the Anime ToonZ tried to stop him, but he looked so scary, they let him pass.

A whistle blew and the 1st half is over. Then, i just noticed that there are a few other anime toonZ on the bench else than the starting member. And my friends said the 2nd half is going to be played by different members..

-------- Not really a good story, huh? After all.. it’s just something i made up when i’m bored.. sorry if there is spelling and grammar mistakes, enjoy it anyway. And the 2nd half.. i don’t know yet about it. But soon to come.. (I think..)
