No one knows of the sad story behind the person known as the codenamed senshi, Sailor V. Minako lives with her parents ; their home is never shown, except for Minako’s room that is shown is one episode. Her room is full of stuffed animals and makes Usagi’s look bare in comparison. Minako’s father is never shown in either aime or manga but it is known that Minako doesn’t have a good relationship her mother, who is exactly like Usagi’s, strict and concerend about her school work and the exams that she, like Usagi, barely passes. Minako used to live in England, where she met her guardian Artemis. He showed her that she was destined to be something great and made her into the masked heroind ‘Sailor V’. With superb fighting skills, Minako faced every obstacle that came her way and has earned her place as the leader of the inner Senshi. Always bubbely and full of life, Minako always brings out the best in everyone; never letting anyting keep her down. She is also a great volleyball player. But life for Minako wasn’t always fun and joyfull. In England, Minako was often ignored and taunted for always being away from her friends and school due to her duty as Sailor V. She was depressed and lonely but it all changed when she moved to Japan. After meeting the other Senshi, Minako found out that she no longer had to fight alone and with that the mask finally came off and she took her rightful place as the Senshi of Love, Sailor Venus. The friendship that she has with Usagi is special, not just because Minako was Usagi’s idol in disguise, but because Usagi treated her with love and kindness, not like a freak like her old friends had done. As Sailor Venus she controls the power of love and as the leader of the inner Senshi, Minako has great leadership skills and a rare sense of compassion.
