I have three years of experience making websites and two years of technical writing. I am also very knowledgeable in Flash MX, and Dreamweaver MX. There are several problems with the current format that hinders visitors as well as students looking for vital information. One of the problems I wish to address is the search tool. The current search tool is slow and unhelpful at finding anything past an e-mail address. Another problem that needs addressing is delivering more information on the site by advance data basing using XML server-side databases and Cold Fusion for easily updatable pages. These two problems would be addressed with a total overhaul of the site, but it would not be shut down more than two hours in the whole process. I also would like to use some Flash to give the site professionalism that it lacks with using just JavaScript. The whole project will take 150 hours over the period of five months. My hourly fee is $55 an hour. There will also be a fee for the software to be $925 fee for the software, which brings my total fee to $9175.00.
