Weapons: Daxion Rai’s armor is fused with his body and cybernetic implants. His armor is powered by solar energy which is absorbed by 6 energy cells. They are located on his chest, both shoulders and hips and gauntlet. These cells also can be used to release the stored solar power in the forms of energy blasts (the type of energy can be controlled by Daxion). These blasts can be modified in their application; they can be released from the cell on his gauntlet as a beam or in the form of a short blade like weapon (which is good for breaching armor, ship hulls etc). The cell located in his chest can be used in conjunction with the others to release an area effect blast which can be devastating, using it as such heavily drains on the armors power supplies.
Daxion also is capable of using sonic weapons such as high frequency sounds used to incapacitate opponents or do structural damage to any surrounding objects. He is equipped with a range of ballistic weapons such as micro missiles and Rocket Propelled EMP’s among others which can be added on to his existing armor (via his left arm which is cybernetic and modifiable). Daxion is capable of flight via wings on the back of his armor, when in flight the wings give off a radiant stream of exhaust. The wings adjust position according to how fast he is flying. At maximum speed they fold back almost pointing straight down towards his legs. He also has small jets located on the soles of his boots to assist in flight and steering as well as landing.
His helmet is primarily covered by a large visor which allows him to see all of his system readouts. The visor is retractable allowing his face to be exposed; Daxion can also control the transparency allowing him to hide his visage. His visor enables him to see in virtually pitch black conditions, it also has filters that allow him to see in several different spectrums of light i.e. infra red, ultra violet etc. The outer chassis of the armor is very durable; it is capable of withstanding most standard arms fire and is resistant to various types of energy based attacks via its system shields. These shields are similar to shields found on some star fighters, they were designed to withstand small to medium level energy based attacks. The shield strength can be redirected to various areas of the armor; however other areas will be weakened by this.
History: Daxion Rai is one of a race of technologically advanced aliens called the Nor. His home planet of Nor-Ah is a lush jungle filled planet with a global temperature warmer than Earths. Large forest canopy’s dominate the skyline accentuated by huge towers and elevated fortresses. Daxion was an elite soldier in the Nor-Ah military chosen by his peers to be a “Kanju I’staa” soldier (which translates to White Death). It is given to those who wear the powerful armor he’s equipped with. The Kanju armor was used to combat enemy fighter ships directly as opposed to using standard star fighters as the staple in their armada. Daxion served in the “War of Mancor” which raged on for 15 years; the war was fought against the neighboring planet of Kel in the resource abundant Mancor system for the control of the mining industry in that sector. The Nor controlled the mining in that sector for over 100 years, however the Kel people had been massing an armada of ships to overthrow the Nor.
It appeared that the Kel had bitten off more than they could chew; they had no answer for the Nor Kanju elite. The armor was too small to hit consistently with their star fighters and capital vessels, and the versatility of the armor made it very difficult to defend against. The only advantage the Kel had was sheer numbers and massive Ion cannon technology capable of destroying capital ships. Daxion lead a team of the best Kanju on several missions to locate and eliminate the Ion cannon placements. He successfully completed the missions and received several promotions in rank over the years. However the turning point in the war was the capture of several Kanju elite by Kel forces. After several unsuccessful attempts the Kel finally incorporated the Kanju technology into their own. Due to the advantage in numbers they were able to create more armored soldiers and eventually overwhelm the Nor. Daxion was almost killed in the final stand of the Nor military, in the epic battle his capital ship Tavion was destroyed he was severely damaged and wounded. Daxion drifted in a comatose state through space for 75 years without a power source to recharge and repair his systems.
He eventually drifted close enough to earth to be pulled in by its gravity and landed on the planet in a remote area of the North Pole, where he lay dormant for an additional 1 year. Over that time his armors energy cells recharged as it basked in the Earths sun and his Cybernetic implants and external armor repaired itself as well as his body. Daxion awoke, and shortly after his armors systems picked up on the Rikti presence. The signals lead him to a war torn and ravaged Paragon City where he learned about the Rikti invasion. There is where he met a band of heroes known as 10th Moon. Daxion agreed to help combat the Rikti for fear of seeing the human race suffer the same fate as his own people.
