TENT REVIVAL REPORT

Average attendance- 25
High attendance: 60
The pastors of Liberty Baptist and the members were all quite encouraged.

During the invitation on the final night, the entire church came forward to make a public commitment to serve Christ.  This was not an "every head bowed and every eye closed" invitation but an "every eye OPEN" invitation and a commitment made that everyone could see as it was when Joshua addressed the people before his death. And the members at Liberty, like Israel in the Old Testament, made their commitment in the face of, and with complete knowledge of, the serious warning given in the book of Joshua that God would hold them to it, no matter what; and that there would be no going back under warning of serious chastisement from the Lord should they do so.  There were also 6 or 8 members and the pastor of another church from Corpus who also came forward with those members standing behind their pastor and making the same commitment to serve Christ in the church where God had placed them.  All of those under the tent during that invitation, like all of Israel under Joshua, said with one voice that night:
"We will serve the Lord!" A "Stone of Witness" was left with the church to act as God's "witness" to remind them of their ongoing commitment to serve Him.
