Bumble Bees were the pollinator of choice for these purple flowers (Lupines?)

I think these were between 6" and 12" across




a Kea on the summit of Avalanche Peak - next to Authors Pass. This alpine parrot can be a terror

Note the arrangement of their 4 toes - two front and two backwards
