Pacific Peak

June 11, 2000

The most holy Fletcher Peak. In a multi-hundred square mile area of little or no snow, this one peak was still covered. The lake at the base is still frozen. The streaks in the rocks right of the main summit even has a cross.

A large lake at 13,400 feet at the base of Pacific Peak.

Still frozen lakes in the Spruce Creek Basin.

A panorama from Mt Massive to Past Capitol Peak. Be sure to use your pan bar to see things off the screen to the right. Mt Massive on the left still has a large snowfield near the summit. Castle Peak is the obscure peak to its right and behind. About mid-center is Cathedral Peak. Then come Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells. The big white one on the skyline is Snowmass. The next would be Capitol.
