The Sabbats!
The Wiccan Sabbats are based on pre-Christian celebrations of nature, most often Celtic ones. Some of theese dates have been made into Christian holidays. The circle of the year goes as follows:
Yule 21/12:   The celebration of yule comes from old norse celebrations. One celebrates the light that is turning and The Horned Hunter of the Sun. This is sometimes symbolized by lighting a fire in the cauldron.
Candlemas 2/2:
Also called Brigid's day.
A celebration of fertilety, springtime and birth. Sometimes cleansings and purefications are done this day, to symbolize the cleansing sun.
Ostara 20/3:
This is the celebration of balance in nature, and the spring that has gently begun.
Beltane 1/4:
The last spring and fertility-festival. Now we are celebrating the warm months to come.
Midsummersday 21/5:
This is a celebration of summer and of joy. Traditionally, this is the best day to collect herbs.
Lammas 1/8:
This is the first autumn fest. We celebrate the start of the food-gathering.
Mabon 9/9:
At the fest of Mabon, an old celtical tradition, we celebrate all the food that is gathered.
Samhain 31/10:
Yes, it's halloweeen. Orignally, the  old fest Samhain was celebrated this night. It is the wiccan New Year, and we celebrate all those who have passed on.
