PATCH
(Jeff Klein)

Well hello there brother sitting higher on the street
Do you have some time to lend some grace or gravity
See I've been mending this here patch ever since I could recall
And you, you haven't looked back since the rip was small

And I have but one hope for myself
And that's that I might someday be somebody's shelter in the way you are
All of those same tainted blood pumping though our veins
Until someday we slip away

And on the same maize here it seems we do defend
We start at the beginning, you're always starting at the end
And security's a lie, planted here at birth
And since it seems that my life, it's worth has died

And I have but one hope for myself
And that's that I might someday be somebody's shelter in the way you are
All of those same tainted blood pumping though our veins
Until someday we slip away

Slip away yeah

And time brings a smile for all these wounds to mend tonight
And as I'm sleeping only time leaves these questions
And it takes it's toll on me

Well hello there brother sitting downwards on his fence
Do you have some time so as I can make amends
See I've been busy with my own thing, and I've been fumbling around
And somewhere in the midst I hadn't seen that you had, well downed

But I have but one hope for myself
And that's that I might someday be somebody's shelter in the way you are
All of those same tainted blood pumping though our veins
Until someday we slip away

Away
