CAN'T REWIND

In the summer tension, began the story
Intension was an innocent
The story began to unfold
And they ignored the signs and the warnings
They took a path
They began detourum (sp?)
They began detourum

She like his purity, he liked her skin
We all know how these things can begin
And so soon a balance became an uneven
Was someone wishing and someone drifting?

But you can't rewind
You can't take back time
No you can't rewind
'Cause you can only move forward

They fell into one embrace periodically
Intermessing was so easy
As they closed their eyes,
To what they didn't want to see
But realisation crept, they crept methodically

But they couldn't rewind
They couldn't take back the time

He wanted her love, he wanted her sincerity
He wanted to give and live in unity
But unity couldn't be, she moved freely
She moved independently, selfishly

She wanted love, but no responsiblilty
She wanted the space to breath
To give up herself, she was not ready
But was she guilty?
Was she guilty

She could rewind
She could take back this time
She could rewind
But she could only move forward
