07/26/2000 - All Versions | Tplus is officially not supported under Windows 98 because of the serial emualation problems with this OS. However, you can get it to work if you have the patience. Here is the most common problem. When Tplus is launched and the configured serial port is being used by another program, your system will lock up and require a hard reset. Windows 98 should handle this problem since it is controlling the resources, but it doesn't. The workaround is to stop all programs that use comports, and then launch Tplus and configure it to the port you want to use. As long as it is a different port than what the other program is using, you will not have this problem anymore. Also note that the first time you run TPlus, it will default to Comm1, so make sure that port is not being used somewhere else. |
