| "Have you been intrigued when you learned that there is more than one mix of a song , than the one that is on your regular worn out Beatles LP`s (insert medium of choice)? Did you want to hear it even if there only was the tiniest difference? Have you been reading Mark Lewisohn's book over and over, while playing the accompaning music to try and figure out where each and every recorded bit went, where all those insturments that were played on the session ended up in the mix and where those edit points could be? And when you finally stumbled over „Oopsology", did you think this is the next best thing to a newly discovered studio bootleg and couldn`t believe your ears, so absolutley new and unfamiliar and revealing those tracks sounded all of a sudden? Did you rave about the seperated tracks on the „Kaleidoscope" CD and wished Apple would release everything in the DVD format just so somebody can go and take it apart? And when Mirrorspock posted his new mixes of "The Ballad Of John And Yoko" and others, you just couldn`t stop scratching your head how he did it instead of moaning this actually classifies as an outfake? Then it might be, there is something you definitly should hear! There is a new set of discs soon to be released to the innermost collector`s circles that takes all this one step further and beyond. It is called: Magical Mystery Mixes By Terminus J. Threnody and spans the reworkings of carefully selected Beatles and Solo- Beatles music from 1962-2001. [As well as many other groups.] The producer of this discs worked true wonders with many of the tracks he chose to treat to his Magic, and Magic it is! Years of fumbling around with patches, knobs and woundrous potions brought out even more aspects of Beatles music, than you thought there could ever be! This went as far as people accusing the reclusive genius of having stolen the mastertapes (how else could he achieve his tricks?), when he first introduced samples from his opus to the not so broad public of one certain unnamed forum, hiding at a secret place somewhere in the virtual reality. But wait, where can you get those ear-teasing treats in its full glory, now that has been revealed to you, that they finally reached the stage of perfection? | Alternate Takes: - This collection was made around 1997-98 - This was my attempt to put on disc the bootlegs I had on tape but not on cd - There are various sources (tape, radio, vinyl, video, etc.) and some parts are of poor quality or cut off - There are additional Left/Right Channel Mixes and early remixes of mine included (predating Magical Mystery Mixes) Sgt Pepper Sessions - This collection was made around 1998-99 - This was my attempt to put in order everything I had for the sessions from January 1967 to the end of the sessions - This was outdated soon after making it with other takes coming to light, but there is no good set for this album Uncollected Clapton - This collection was made around 1999 - Eric Clapton guested on so many things, including Beatles, that I collect his guestwork from various sources. Magical Mystery Mixes - These have been worked on from mid nineties to present, but finally started compiling in 2002 - This is the manual process of extracting analog sounds from songs to hear things on the track you might not otherwise hear - These are not computer generated effects PataMixical Science - My attempt to go beyond my previous mixing and try the experimental stuff in the vein of Beatles Remixers group. This was my switch from analog to digital Experiments In Film - Originally made in the mid 90s, transferred to VCD in 2003 - Taking various clips (movie, cartoon, silents, tv shows) and adding music to make a different twist Beatle Boots - A Catalog of my recordings of the show Beatle Boots from 94.7 WCSX out of Detroit, Michigan - Recorded off the air circa 1990-1992 - This is where it all began for me in listening to bootlegs - Many tracks were included in the Alternate Takes series, but without the commentary Magical Ministry Mixes - These collections date to around 1989-94 - This is taking sermons or bible readings and putting them to rock music - This won't be for everyone's taste, but those with an interest may find them fascinating. - Any Beatles inclusions are repeated in The Beatles Magical Mystery Mixes Volume 25 |
