Sayonara --Bored in Study Hall...-- Pretty self-explanatory I guess, I don't really have any news... But hey, it's my site and I can update when I want to! I'm in my millionth study hall right now, and I went to the Computer Lab, woo, to help my friend build her website- which you guys can all see... when it's done :D. Um, I was thinking of adding three new anime sections the the site- Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Metropolis... just because I love those movies, and really, there have to be more informational sites about them!! Mmm... only a few minutes until lunch, I'm officially starving *sigh*... More later, when I come home... Monday, September 30th, 2002 {Misao} --Metropolitan Tastes-- Welllll... No news persay, but I did watch Metropolis yesterday, and that movie is absolutely amazing! Though I didn't much like the character designs, other than Rock, Kenichi, and Teema, the backgrounds were absolutely amazing, and the storyline was great- it was so sophisticated, wasn't it? The proletariat rising up against the commanding Duke Red, ah, Karl Marx- except that eventually the revolutionaries didn't win, well no one did. The most amazing scene was at the end, when Rock and Duke Red were overwhelmed by the robots... that song was... bizarre :D. And also Kenichi trying to save Teema. *sniffle* Anyway, watch Metropolis if you can get your hands on it, it's like A.I. but addresses the issue more directly- plus it's better, yay :D. Ciao! Wednesday, September 25th, 2002 {Misao} --Eureka! I've got it...-- Finally! It took me long enough to figure this whole text scrollbar thing out! Anyway, I have no news- since I don't know any anime news, but I'll find something out... later. Too sick and cold right now :p. I saw Spirited Away! I'm so happy (sorry Aikoooooo) it was a beautiful movie, and if it's playing in your city GO! NOW! Hehehe, luckily it was playing in Toronto so I got to see it, I won't spoil it for you (you don't know how hard it is for me not to) but I'll tell you this, it has a signature Miyazaki ending... if that's good or bad, I'll leave up to you. Here's a great review of the movie by Roger Ebert (whose reviews I love- except, of course, for the fact that he gave my beautiful Gladiator movie 2/4 stars *wimper*) [click] Enjoy yourselveeeees, I'll be putting sections up, and just generally getting this layout set up! Thursday, September 12th, 2002 {Misao} --Spirited Away, and relative newness-- Hey-o! As you can see we're all... different =3! Hahaha, tenth grade depresses me, so I made this, er, depressing layout- but I like it (tear) so proud. This layout features Ninamori from FLCL, which is such an awesome series- must watch! I'm working on changing the layout of -each- page, so be patient pleeease! Alright news now ^^... Spirited Away, a highly acclaimed film by the incredible Hayao Miyazaki (Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke) is coming to theatres in select cities on Sept. 20th! It actually premiered last Saturday at the Toronto Film Festival, but I couldn't go because the TFF seems to only allow people aged 18+ to go >_<. Luckily Toronto is on the list for the Sept. 20th release (yay!), check out this list to see if it'll be playing in your city.... =3 ciao! |
