Yukari goes to an exclusinve high school, and her parents have really high standards, meaning Yukari must study extra hard to recieve top grades, in order to get into a top college- because supposedly this will make her a better, more respected person... which is why Yukari is so study-driven, she wants to accomplish all of this, and make her parents proud of her; going to cram school every day after school and on Saturday mornings.
When Yukari first meets, and almost dies of fright because of, the guys and girl(s) of Paradise Kiss, she only sees a bunch of weirdo losers, and doesn't even bother to lift her prejudice until she really gets to know them, and how complex they are, past and personality.
Yukari has a huge crush of Hiro Tokumori, a very smart, popular, an 'perfect' (atleast in Yu-chan's eyes) guy from her school- and she's so sure about her heart- until... George.
George tells her to do what's best for herself, and to disregard any of her parents ambitions, to only focus on her own.
Yukari is very confused about her future, but when she agrees to work with Arashi, the safety-pinned punk, Isabella, the kind-hearted drag queen, Miwako, the very cute and naive pink-haired 'fairy,' and George- the charming yet mysterious boss, she sees the lighter and more bizarre... side of life!

George is the charming, teasing, bisexual, boss-man of the Paradise Kiss design group.
His genius with fashion design has led him to head the final design project, and has made him incharge of his motley crew ^_~.
George is a mysterious character, he's aloof, he knows what he wants, and always gets it, no matter what... even Yukari-chan herself!
He loves to tease and often totally confuses Yukari with his often cold tricks. He's a free spirit, and comes and goes as he pleases.
George is a senior at the Yazawa School of Arts, and Paradise Kiss means everything to him, besides grades, George is planning to try and sell his awesome clothing line to boutiques.
George sees Yukari as a perfect model, and even, perhaps, has a thing for her.
Yukari's first impression of George was as an alien ^^;;. Because of his blue eyes and... matching blue hair!
