By Joshua Shammay
When darkness binds this Earth,
Beneath its icy grip.
When mother's giving birth,
Are lacking anaesthetic.
When masses lie down dying,
For a cup of tea.
When little boys are crying,
Begging sweets or ice cream.
One Will Come,
A smoking gun,
A rider from the west.
With setting sun,
And thoughts of pun,
And quite a lot of rest.
When cynicism's compromised,
By those whose thoughts are pure.
When all religion's realised,
As like to horse manure.
When all the simple things in life,
Come into their depth.
When my nemesis's strife,
Outweighs my allies breath.
One Will Come,
Sinful fun,
A riot or a fest.
With setting sun,
He will stun
A virgin's innocence.
When our lord almighty sins,
And puts to rest all fears.
When the great god Zeus grins,
It's time to drown in beer.
When lords of men have gills and fins,
And control society's gears.
When to rule them all, one ring,
Is in the hand of mortal mere.
One Will Come,
Unrighteous nun,
A simple holy test.
With setting sun,
She'll have stung
All religions best.
When Mother Nature's given up,
And all hope is gone.
When the cutest little pup,
Refuses to belong.
When the grapes that fill the cup,
Prove to be too strong.
When the fruit on which we sup,
Lives only on in song.
One Will Come,
Druidic ton,
Loggers will attest;
With setting sun,
In tones of glum,
He's shut their business.
When Politician's for truth strive,
And their promises fulfill.
When Communism's truly alive,
Cause democracy is still.
When our massed mind hive thrives,
Interweaving skills.
And when at peace we arrive,
With no blood being spilt.
One Will Come,
To tell how we've done;
What as a jest,
With setting sun,
Was being run,
By Her/Him who is blessed.
