And why "Terrella"?



Choosing a kennel name was a pretty paralyzing process - after all, I am going to see this word for a long time: in front of all my dogs names, in catalogues, on awards, ads, and I will have to write it out, entry after entry after entry.

So I knew it had better be good, cause I didn't want to get sick of it any time soon. After much thinking and searching, I finally came across "Terrella" - which is Latin for "little earth." Considering I have miniature dachshunds, who are little earth dogs, I thought, could it get any better than this? I was just surprised it hadn't been taken yet. Wooo-hooo. So now all my pups proudly wear the Terrella prefix.


By the way, the above photo is Beatrix, inside an empty dog food bag, cleaning it out. Bad, bad, clever dog.
