Terri's SRS (continued)
Later on 3 July we were collected by Nat and Jasmin (nursing aides) and taken by taxi to the Welcome Plaza Hotel in Pattaya, which was to be home for the next 18 days.
I found the first few days at the hotel particularly difficult, both physically and emotionally, adjusting to coping without the hospital nurses and routine. Very slowly it got easier and it was good when we could start going out of the hotel at last, although I should say that the hotel staff were wonderfully friendly. I also really enjoyed the hotel's ice-creams (especially the "Welcome coconut" - three flavours of ice-cream served in a fresh coconut, with added fruit and nuts - yummee!).
