spelling was hard to discern, I have tried to put the letters that most
resemble the appearance of the document.

"James Street and Wife Deed to George Street
This indenture made this 9th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and fifty three between James Street and Luamy Street his wife of
the County of Martin and State of Indiana of the first part and George Street
of the County and State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said
party of the first for and in consideration of the sum of fifty five dollars to
them in hand paid by said party of the second part the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and by these presence do grant
bargain and sell unto the party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever all that tract or parsel of land situated in the county and state
aforesaid known and designated by the numbers to wit the north east qr of the
North West qr of section No. five in Township No. one North of the Range four
west containing forty one acres and 38 hundreths thou or lep together with
all improvements and singular the appertainances theeunto belonging or in any
wise appertaning to the same to the only use Benefet and behoof of the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the party of the
first part themselves there heirs executors and administraators do convenant to
and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the party
of the first part is lawfully seized of the premises hereby conveyed and that
the same are free and clear of all incumberances what so ever and that they
have a good right to sell and convey the same to manner aforesaid and that
they will warrant and forever defend the same against all claims and every

Nancy Voorhis of the County of Orange and State of Indiana of the first part

consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars lawful money of the United
States to them paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is
hereby asknowledged by the said party of the first part have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell into the said party of
the second part his heirs and assign forever all that tract or parcel of land
lying and situate in the County of Orange and State of Indiana to wit South
