Wireless Transmission systems have been around ever since the first radio station started broadcasting. Up until the 1980's wireless transmission applications were mostly military applications because of their hard to detect and jam features. Today, with the proliferation of cheap electronic components and increasing demand for internet and cellular mobile connections, wireless transmission applications are being dominated by commercial and consumer interests. Because spread spectrum systems naturally perform well at transmitting a signal with minimal interference effects, they are ideal for use in today's crowded airwaves. Wireless Transmission systems will likely become the dominant method of transmitting signals for this century.
