Let's do a fast and easy custom this time. Something you can do in an hour or so. First hunt up a Lowrider Impala. A 65 or a 59 will do just fine. I am going to use the FE 65 Impala because I like the purple paint and the gold lace wheels.

We need a donor with a nice looking motor. I happen to have a Rodzilla with a nice gold motor that will match the gold wheels. I actually have several Rodzillas just for the motors. Don't forget to save those nice gold 3 spokes in case you need them for another custom.

Yank that motor out. It will pull right out because it just snaps in. Trim it a little and lets check for fit. It sure doesn't look like the headers will look good with this project. Nope, not at all.

How about a rear engine Lowrider Impala. NOPE! I don't like that one either. Remember this next time you are looking at the VW Bug wondering what you want to do with it. How about the Baja Bug with a rear engine V8 swap. Hmmmm.....

Now trim the bottom off of the motor so there will be clearance to put the car back together. You will also need to trim the front tab on the windshield to clear the motor.

Then drill a hole in the hood and start grinding it bigger a little at a time. Keep checking for fit and be careful not to get it too big or off to one side. The front rivet post will have to go too. That's what epoxy was invented for.

Put the car back together with a little epoxy and you are done. What a nice looking custom for just a little time and two one dollar cars.
